In the Spring of 2023, for my Introduction to Illustration course, I was tasked with designing a page from a children's book, choosing from a selection of beloved short stories. I selected "The Crow and the Snake" and was further challenged to add a companion for the main character. Through research on symbiotic relationships in nature, I discovered that frogs often interact with snakes in mutually beneficial ways. This insight inspired me to introduce a frog as a friend to the snake in my illustration. Below, you will find the specific excerpt from the story that I brought to life through my artwork. This project not only allowed me to explore and depict natural alliances but also to deepen my skills in storytelling through visual media.
